The Executive Director of the Action for Greater Harvest has told a gathering of Liberians in the United States of America to harness their energies and resources to the cause of helping in the fight against hunger, poverty, pestilences and farming.
Mr. Dee-Maxwell S. Kemayah, who is President of the Association of Bong Miners of Liberia (ABML) made the statement recently in the USA when served as guest speaker at the official launch of Club Bong Range 63 (CBR 63) in Silver Spring, Maryland.
He said their focus as Liberians outside of the country should be how to contribute to eradicating these troubling human factors and establish what he called “global partnership for development.”
Speaking on the topic “social responsibility,” he explained the concept of social responsibility saying that it is twofold dimensions.
According to him, the first line of “Double Bottom,” Is what he called social returns while the second line is the financial returns.
The AGRHA boss told the gathering of Diaspora Liberians that the first line of social return has to do with basic social services related interventions for host communities and environs including, but not limited to improved schooling, improved health, improved women status, reduced vulnerability, employment creation, income generation amongst others.
