The Secretary General of the CPDM Central Committee, René Sadi continues working sessions with substantive Central Committee members.
The Secretary General of the Central Committee of the ruling Cameroon People's Democratic Movement (CPDM) will today hold separate working sessions with substantive members of the Central Committee from the West and Adamawa Regions. This will be the fourth day of consultations with the party's Central Committee members as yesterday, August 26 was the turn of the South West and North West Regions.
The CPDM Scribe has since Tuesday had discussions on identical topics with the Central Committee members. One of the members from the South West Region, Chief Tabe Tando from Manyu Division told journalists that they discussed ways of rejuvenating and making the CPDM more dynamic on the field. He said they also discussed about the CPDM congress which is in gestation. The ultimate goal of the ruling party is to win the 2011 presidential election. René Sadi is therefore mobilising the Central Committee members to effectively contribute in galvanising support for the CPDM candidate in the presidential election and in future elections. The working session comes at the time some of Central Committee members have either died or are no longer in the party necessitating their replacement.
In all, René Sadi met with nine substantive members of the CPDM Central Committee from the South West in the first half of yesterday and from 5:00 p.m. started meeting with those from the North West Region. As with the previous ones, yesterday's working sessions were behind close doors. Journalists were given just a few minutes to take pictures and images at the beginning.
