Supporters were drilled on party regulations by some members of the Central Committee in Mengang last Saturday.
All roads led to the Mengang ceremonial ground last Saturday where there was a working visit between members of the CPDM Central Committee, led by Minister Robert Nkili of Labour and Social Security and militants of the said community. The objective of the meeting in the Nyong and Mfoumou Division of the Centre Region was to drill militants on party rules and prepare them for the 2011 presidential polls.
"The raison d'être of this mission is to ensure that party rules are respected, while making sure that vices like egoism, internal wrangling and fighting are not part of the party", Minister Nkili said. He told party militants that the Head of State's objective is to see that Cameroonians are out of poverty, enable them enjoy maximum peace and security and also, get employment via the ruling party. He said they should uphold loyalty, respect and support for the CPDM party, while calling on them to secure a 100 percent victory to President Paul Biya in the upcoming 2011 presidential election.
Prior to his message, the Mayor of Mengang, Bengoudo Mendogo Athanase, assured the CPDM Central Committee Delegation that his people are behind President Paul Biya. He said the community has always recorded an overwhelming victory in elections in favour of the ruling party. The President of the host sub-section, Bernard Abada Abada, said the stakes are high and the party has to maintain its leadership position.
Coming at a time when the voters' registration lists are opened, delegation members urged militants to massively get their names registered so as to exercise their civic rights and thereby give the party the victory it deserves.
The working session ended with a motion of support and thanks to the Head of State Paul Biya for the creation of schools, health, training centres and social amenities in the locality. They unanimously declared that President Paul Biya is their lone candidate in the upcoming elections.
