Cameroon/Lesotho: Cadet Lions Face Lesotho Tomorrow

The match counts for the qualifiers for the African Cup of Nations in the cadet category.

The national cadet football team left the country on Wednesday for Maseru, the capital of Lesotho via South Africa where they are expected to play against the national side in that category tomorrow. The match counts for the first round qualifiers for the African Cup of Nations in the cadet category which will take place next year in Rwanda. The match will be the first real test for Richard Towa ever since he was appointed three months ago to train the cadet lions.

The cadet Lions had their last training session at the Amadou Ahidjo stadium in Yaounde before their departure, during which they revised all what they had learned during the past three months.

Despite administrative problems that let the coach to travel without some of the players, Richard Towa remains confident that his squad will carry the day in Lesotho. The performance of the Cadet lions during their training camp gives reason to hope for good results from Lesotho given that the cadet recorded no defeat in all friendly matches played. The cadet Lions who were residing at the Fecafoot Technical centre in Odja near Yaounde, played against the Intermediate Lions, the Under 23 squad, Canon Yaounde and Astres of Douala. The Cameroonian delegation to Lesotho is headed by Etienne Claude Tamo, who is an executive member of the Cameroon Football Federation.
