Hip-hop star Akon is expected in the country on Thursday for his high-profile show at the National Sports Stadium on Saturday.
Akon will share the stage with renowned Jamaican ragga and dancehall artist Sean Paul who is expected to jet in on Friday.
Some of the duo's band members are already in the country while another team is expected tomorrow.
Both artists are bringing their full bands for the show that has been termed "Real Deal Concert".
The show will also feature a host of local artists that include Winky D, Stunner, Roki, Soul Bone and Cynthia Mare.
But there will be an exciting segment of sungura music that has been titled "Sungura Revenge" that is expected to close the show.
The segment features Alick Macheso, Sulumani Chimbetu and Kapfupi.
Show organisers said the urban grooves musicians will open the show in the afternoon while Sean Paul is expected on stage around 6pm.
Akon will take over from Sean Paul as the show climaxes while the "Sungura Revenge" would take the gig to sunrise.
There are high expectations for the show, which could prove to be the best gig of the year since both Akon and Sean Paul would be playing in the country for the first time.
Both are currently rocking the international music scene with a number of hits.
The gig is expected to be a historic event. All roads will definitely be leading to the National Sports Stadium on Saturday.
Tickets to the show range between $15 and $100.
Prince Tendai Mupfurutsa of Zimswag Entertainment, which is organising the show, said they had already recorded encouraging ticket sales while much activity in the sales was expected this week.
"The show is just a week away and activity at ticket sale points is increasing rapidly," said Prince Tendai.
"We are expecting a capacity crowd at the stadium because the response has been overwhelming.
"We have been forced to increase our points of ticket sales because we are anticipating a major shake-up in the city as soon as the musicians jet in."
Akon and Sean Paul are expected to visit some tourist resorts during their short stay in the country.
An official with the Zimbabwe Tourism Authority, which is co-organising the show with Zimswag, said the duo was likely to visit the Victoria Falls on separate occasions.
Sean Paul is expected to leave the country on Sunday while Akon departs the following day.
