Africa: Munya v Sheila - It Doesn't Get Better Than This

This is going to be one of the most tensest and toughest weekends in the Big Brother house, as two heavyweights go up against each other for eviction. Poor Munya! Once again, he is up for eviction and this time he is against an equally strong opponent, Sheila. Its hard to think he will survive again this time, not because Sheila is a stronger force than he is, but he has been up too many times. However, I think if he survives this weekend's eviction, then he won't leave at all and he will automatically be the favourite to win the BBA All Stars.

Munya has had the bad luck of being always nominated for eviction. This is not helped by his being on the wrong side of the Midnight Crew and his frequent run-ins with some housemates. Since the beginning of the All Stars, Munya has found himself having to deal with a carry over beef from Uti and Sheila, whom he outstayed in their earlier BBA season.

I personally feel Midnight Crew members are against Munya for reasons best known to them. I used to think they were cool until he started getting with Tatiana and everything came crumbling down from there. Crew Members, Meryl and Lerato will never really be cool with Tatiana, because of what she did to both of them in BBA 2. She was their adversary and was very instrumental in both their evictions out of the House then.

Sheila, on her part, has won fans and haters alike and for so many reasons. Some fans of BB All Stars are not cool with her gossiping and lazy attitude, while some others feel she swings both ways, as she is maybe a lesbian, which is why she hasn't really committed to anything solid with Uti or even Hannington. Some just don't like her because she belongs to the Midnight Crew, whatever the reason, she has become a very strong contender in the House and I believe housemates who don't like her also know this and that is why she as been put up for eviction and that is why Jen replaced Code with her.

Sheila has become a strong force also because of her closeness to Uti and Lerato, two contestants whose countries play a very huge role in the voting patterns of Big Brother Africa. South Africa of course is the host country and Nigeria, the largest black nation has a huge audience of the show.

Personally, I believe these two countries will really play a huge role in Sheila's survival this weekend. That, plus the fact that, she may also benefit from the votes of home countries of the home other Midnight Crew members, that Tatiana and Munya have helped send out of the House, like Hannington and Yacob, with those who are still in the house, Meryl and Mwisho.

All in all, it's going to be a tough one tomorrow. Whoever gets evicted between the two of them will throw the game open and bring other people in with a chance to win as well.

Yacob Evicted, Starts Afresh In The Barn

Many, like me, were not surprised at this because he shot himself in the foot when he asked to be nominated for eviction. The housemates duly obliged him and he was nominated and evicted out of the Big Brother house. So Yacob, my friend and the funniest housemate. (If you ask me) left the house and moved into the barn last Sunday and that added to the intensity of the game.

He got to the barn and the Barnmates pulled another surprise on him when they made Tatiana meet him first and pretend it was just her in the barn. She welcomed him and told him how she has been staying all on her own and how she was glad someone has come around to be with her. Yacob later met Lerato and Hannington and he was happy that at least he is not totally evicted, because there is a second chance.

Yacob was very surprised that Code put him up for eviction and he got his chance for payback on Monday, during his nomination as he nominated Code and Munya for eviction into the barn.

Staying in the barn has not been all that fun for Yacob, but he seems to want to make the most of it by starting to look at things differently. He has even had a haircut. Yacob, who like Uti can't do without having good look and feel of his hair, finally allowed the Barber to shave it all off. Wow! That was really shocking for me.

The task for this week had to with housemates playing radio hosts and DJs, with full equipments provided for them to perform the tasks and they have wagered 75% this time around, to be on a safe side, after having lost their 100% wager last week. This task is quite interesting and fun like others in the past, but its also very educative and challenging, almost like the one last week. This is because the housemates had to group themselves to organise a radio program with different shows and they had come up with various programs and events to last for eight hours.

Among all the housemates, only Kaone and Code have real radio experience as they both already have careers in that area, so they are the ones taking the lead on this one and they seem to be doing very well, handling the responsibility of directing the others on how to go about the whole task.

From the way they started, I feel the housemates will win their wager this time around because there seems to be cooperation from every one. This is unlike the other week where getting people to agree on the true model of an ideal Big Brother House was a problem. Uti and Sheila paired together as expected and during their Radio show, the topic moved from pregnancy to weird ways to fall pregnant.

DJ Uti said, with mock seriousness, that a woman could fall pregnant just by sitting on a toilet seat, shaking hands and sharing underwear. Sheila laughed at the thought of it - she thought it was absolutely preposterous. She even got Jen to call in and substantiate her point.

Munya, who woke up and caught the tail end of the debate, his eyes popping out of his head, called in and validated Uti's outrageous statements. The men giggled at the ladies, who couldn't believe the absurdity of the whole conversation. Listeners were very entertained by the duo's show.

Barn FM Goes Live

The Barnmates were awake and bustling way before their task was due to begin, so when Biggie made the announcement that the task was due to start soon, the Barnmates didn't show an ounce of stress.

The Barnmates began their weekly task presentation. This presentation would last longer than the task presentations that they're used to. They have to keep a Radio station live for eight hours. The Barnmates were given an entire week to prepare DJ personas, adverts, shows, and jingles.

The Task began with Hannington taking the lead. The opening jingle from Barn FM came complete with chickens clucking. Tatiana and Lerato were right by Hannington's side when Barn FM went live. Hannington began his show with a memorable moment of silence, a first for radio station worldwide. Hannington went on as his DJ alias - "The Cock"; while Lerato went on as "The Hen".

Lerato gave an inspirational artiste review of Sammi's album. Sammi was a previous All Stars Barnmate who left Big Brother due to of health reasons. Lerato was extremely humourous in her presentation and it was real fun.

Jen Is Head Of House

This week it has been Jen leading the troupe in the house and she is doing well. Jen became the HOH - head of house - because she came second to Yacob in the HOH task and since Yacob couldn't remain in the house as a result of his eviction, she automatically became the new head of house. Like I said earlier, her first task and the most difficult was the Monday nomination and eviction which she performed by saving Code and replacing him with Sheila.

Jen is the first head of house in BBA All Stars that wasn't nominated for eviction. It has been a tradition, this season, for housemates to nominate the head of house more and leave him or her with the responsibility of saving him or herself at the expense of another housemate.

On Monday however, housemates failed to nominate Jen as much as expected and left her with the choice of replacing and saving a housemate, which she did. I wonder why she wasn't nominated, is it that she is so loved by everyone or they just didn't remember that she exists? Jen, to me, hasn't been a real force to reckon with in the house and I think she is too quiet to be noticed at all and such people don't win Big Brother. Anyways, that's not for me to decide, but the fans and vivid admirers of the show. Although I' m a real fan, how much does my one vote count?
