Angola: Culture Minister Defends More Child Songs

Ondjiva — The minister of Culture, Rosa Cruz e Silva stressed on Sunday in Ondjiva, southern Cunene province the need to create incentives so that more children get involved in the practice of child song in search of dedicated musicians in the future.

The official, who was speaking at the opening of the Third National Festival of Child Song, stressed that it is important to make children learning more the culture and arts and singing a way to fulfil this intention.

"Just like the slogan of the festival the Song for the Future shows the commitment of the Organization of Angolan Pioneers (OPA) that promotes the event aiming to awaken the taste for art music", she said.

The Third National Festival of Child Song with representation of 18 provinces of the country had as winner the 11-year old candidate of Luanda, Zusana Carlos with the song entitled "Inac".
