Sierra Leone: 100 Police Officers Leave for Darfur

Freetown — A total of 100 men and women of the Sierra Leone Police Sunday left Freetown to participate in peacekeeping operations in the troubled region of Darfur, southern Sudan.

At a farewell ceremony held at the senior officers' mess at Kingtom on Friday, Assistant Inspector General of Police in charge of Human Resource and Training, Al-Sheik Kamara congratulated the departing officers and expressed hope that they would help project the good image of the police and the country.
