At least nine civilians have been killed and 25 others were injured when roadside bombs hit minibuses in Somalia's capital, Mogadishu, Radio Garowe Reports.

The bombs exploded near the former compound of Jale Siad military academy- houses Burundian peacekeepers- south of Mogadishu.

No group claimed responsibility, but Somali rebel groups have vowed to increase heavy attacks against the Somali transitional federal government and the African Union troops in the capital.

However, More than 14 people were killed and dozens were wounded as shelling hit the city's Bakara market.

Ali Musa, director of a local ambulance service said he has received at least 14 bodies and 48 injured people since Monday evening.

Meanwhile, Hizbul Islam Leader, Sheik Hassan Dahir Aweys accused the statement of the Somali president calling for more support from international community in its fight against the insurgent group.

"We are saying to AMIOSM to leave Somalia before they did not meet problems from the Somali people. The Somali people do not like you so we are saying to you go away," said Hassan Dahir Aweys.

The Al Shabaab and Hizbul al-Islam groups control most of southern and central Somalia, while forces of the transitional government force, which are backed by African Union troops, hold small parts of Mogadishu. Ahlu Sunna also has a few strongholds in the central part of the country.
