Kampala — Top ranked Uganda in the U19 Africa Division 1 World Cricket Cup qualifiers lost four early wickets as their chances of qualifying for the global U-19 qualifiers were dealt a big blow at the hands of Botswana in Windhoek, Namibia yesterday.
It was going to be a tough game, gauging from last year's meeting with the same outfit, which had Uganda win by a single wicket in Zambia. And like the first games against Nigeria and Tanzania, Uganda again preferred to chase but Botswana looked a mouthful with opening batsman Varun Vijayakumar proving the toughest with his 77 as they set the teenagers a target of 210 to chase.
