Luanda — The president, José Eduardo dos Santos, Tuesday held a meeting with the Prime Minister of Cape Verde, José Maria Neves, part of his visit to Angola.
Shortly after arriving in Luanda on Monday to strengthen cooperation between the two Portuguese-speaking countries, José Maria Neves highlighted the pacifying role that Angola plays in international institutions and in the Great Lakes regions.
With the presidency of the Portuguese-speaking Countries Community (CPLP) "Angola has a key role in the stabilisation of Guinea Bissau in consolidating peace and in laying the foundations for the development of this country that is also member of the ECOWAS", he said.
The Prime minister of the Archipelago of Cape Verde is being accompanied on this visit by Environment Minister Jose Maria Veiga and the State secretary for Economy, Humberto Brito.
