Awgaro — The inhabitants of Awgaro administrative area, Laelai-Gash sub-zone highlighted the need for exerting still more endeavors towards bringing about lasting solution to potable water supply problem in the area.

They explained that the existing water distribution stations in the sub-zone are not only few in number but have also been out of function following damage, which in turn compelled them to buy drinking water at high price. In this regard, the local inhabitants stressed the need for the concerned party to take urgent action in easing such a problem.

Noting that underground water resource in the area especially during the dry season would be an issue of concern, they stated that the water distribution station currently providing partial service would face shortage of water resource in the dry season, and as such vigorous efforts should be at the earliest.

The Administrator of Awgara, Mr. Gebremedhin Haile, said on his part that the necessary measures would be taken to renovate the damaged water distribution stations, and called on the local inhabitants to make good use of such facilities.
