Muhammed Leman, a Mauritanian businessman resident in The Gambia Tuesday called on the vice president and minister of Women's Affairs, Aja Dr Isatou Njie-Saidy, at her office at State House in Banjul.

Leman, who is also the vice president of the Mauritanian Community in The Gambia, told reporters shortly after meeting with the vice president that their discussion centred on some common problems faced by businessmen in the country especially with regards to trading with the Gambian dalasi against other foreign currencies like CFA and Euro.

"We the Mauritanian businessmen residing in The Gambia are mostly engaged in trading of general merchandised goods and other basic commodities such as rice, sugar, tomato and textile clothing," he said, while describing the country's business atmosphere as conducive, due to the peace and security that enable businesses to flourish. Leman then expressed gratitude to VP Njie-Saidy for the warm reception accorded to him.
