Eritrea: Farming Community in Halhal Sub-Zone Called Upon to Strengthen Animal Feed Programs

Halhal — The farming community in Halhal sub-zone has been called upon to enhance activities towards strengthening animal feed programs, according to Mr. Mihreteab Asgedom, expert in the upkeep of crops in the sub-zone.

He explained that water pond and reserve area undertakings in the administrative areas of Mai-Awald, Melebso and Halhal are making good progress. Mr.Mihreteab further stressed the importance of reserve areas in alleviating shortage of animal feed.

About 230 hectares in Halhal sub-zone are being designated as reserve area, and such a program is showing satisfactory progress, according to reports.
