Angola/Uganda: National Soccer Face Uganda at Traditional Stadium

Luanda — Uganda national team have a tradition at Mandela International stadium, venue of Saturday's match against Angola, an "arena" where they only lost once, in 2004, since its inauguration in 1997.

The also dubbed Nambole stadium has been mystical for the Ugandan. The chain was broken by South Africa, victory 1-0, with goal by Benni McCarthy, during the eliminatory round of access to Germany 2006, which witnessed Angola's debut presence.

The "victims" of Uganda at Nambole stadium were Benin (3-1), Nigéria (2-1), Angola (3-1), Kenya (3-0), Ghana (2-0) and Niger (3-0). In this last game international player David Obua made a "hat-trick". With a capacity of 45, 000 spectators, the venue is known as true "hell" due to its famous fervent fans.
