MMD spokesperson Dora Siliya has challenged Change Life Zambia executive director Frank Bwalya to engage in productive issues and create jobs for Zambians unlike spending his energies causing anarchy.
Ms Siliya said in an interview that Fr Bwalya should make himself useful to the people than wasting his energies on unproductive issues, which the citizenry was not interested in.
"Fr Bwalya should stop blowing circus vuvuzelas trying to attract Zambians who are not interested in his issues because they want development in all sectors of the economy," Ms Siliya said.
She was reacting to Fr Bwalya who claimed at a Press briefing yesterday in Kitwe that the MMD Government was corrupt and President Rupiah Banda had no political will to fight corruption.
Fr Bwalya alleged that MMD was fueling corruption and theft of public resources. Ms Siliya said Fr Bwalya should not take advantage of the freedom of expression and deceive people for political interests. She challenged Fr Bwalya to prove that the MMD was corrupt unlike issuing blanket statements.
Ms Siliya, who is Education Minister, said Fr Bwalya should report the allegations of corrupt activities to the relevant authorities if he had proof.
She said Fr Bwalya should by virtue of his status in society lead by example in providing practical solutions to the challenges Zambia was facing unlike playing to the gallery.
Ms Siliya said he should not incite people to take the law into their hands by carrying out countrywide demonstrations when Zambia's security was at risk. She said mass demonstrations negatively affected business as most traders opted to close their business to remain secure from possible damages.
Ms Siliya said Fr Bwalya should follow laid down procedures when airing his grievances unlike using under hand methods aimed at gaining popularity for nothing. During the Press briefing, Fr Bwalya said the planned countrywide demonstrations would go ahead with or without a police permit.
Fr Bwalya in the company of Anglican priest Richard Luonde and his followers also called on High Court Judge Evans Hamaundu to resign saying his decision to reject the application to register the London High Court judgment was inimical to public interest.
