Someone once remarked that he loves humanity, but it's people that he hates.
Nonetheless, almost every condition of friction that is sustained will produce some form of heat.
The direct involvement of a South African rugby player that led to the senseless death of a darkie Metro cop begs for a thorough soul-searching into the reality and genuine objective of the oval ball.
Topping the scale at 115 kilogrammes, Bulls prop 'Bees' Roux is a bulky dude and certainly not the kind of oak any sober-minded person dare tackle without gloves, nogal, and not when you happen to be a darkie for that matter.
Bees, the name says it all, is not your ordinary khaki-clad young man of Dutch origin, fitted in an old-fashioned pair of rugby shorts and worn-out vellies, around the corner.
Bees, is blessed with a huge frame that would make any oke that unintentionally happens to cross his path shiver like a fired-up boere orkes.
Dear readers, please pardon me - my ageing fingers are trembling as I'm trying to figure out exactly as to why some tribes are choosing particular sporting disciplines as a recreational past time.
It appears that some supremacists have for donkey's years made it their sole province to engage the oval ball (rugby), to persue and advance their own agendas.
How often do those in the sport fraternity pick up tales of a certain footballer, cricketer or boxer killing or causing serious bodily harm to a fellow human being.
But, then, why is it that most rugby players from Dutch origin have been at the centre of unpleasant controversies which have resulted in fatalities.
This brings us back to the unpleasant incident of former Springbok lock Geo Cronje.
The bulky lock refused point-blankly to share the same room with his Springbok teammate Quinton Davids.
South African rugby authorities would have none of that and summarily abbreviated Cronje's promising international career by slapping a ban on him.
Role Model Peers
As the saying goes, "Monkeys play by sizes." This also applies to humans, although the "size" in our case has various meanings.
It's partly for this reason that peers or members of each tribe or any other specific group of humans that share certain common ideals and objectives tend to exert more influence on each other than people from outside the specific unit.
Can one then be faulted to conclude that some members in our society are using the game of rugby to advance their own worn-out sick mentality in a desperate bid to cling to their loosening grip over fellow citizens.
The natural law among some of our rugby-mad community is more about maintaining their misplaced superiority complex over other tribes, instead of using the game to unite the nation, which could ultimately lead to healing the wounds of the past.
The Bees Roux incident is a typical example that the clearly misunderstood plea of reconciliation is yet to sink into some people's thick skulls. Namibia has not been immune to these sorts of senseless barbaric actions by people who are supposed to act as role models.
Just as recently, a former Namibian youth rugby player was fingered to be among the ringleaders of a naughty bunch of badly raised boys of Dutch origin.
The young man, together with fellow students, dehumanized darkie tannies old enough to be their parents, had it not been for the apartheid system that prevented them from mingling with laanies, at a well-known University campus in Bloemfontein.
Namibian rugby authorities turned a blind eye to these inhuman acts and allowed the young man to play and go about his rugby unhindered at club level. I rest my case.
