Angola: Basketball Player Pledges Dedication Against U.S.

Kayseri — The Angolan basketball player Divaldo Mbunga on Thursday here said that Angola will engage itself at in game against the United States of America, as part of the eighth finals of the Turkey world championship, taking place in Turkey, ANGOP has learnt.

The two-metre tall player said to ANGOP that the squad will work to have a good performance against the United States, although it is one of the best teams of the world.

"We can only pledge dedication and engagement in the game against the United States of America, nothing more than this", he said.

On the other hand, he considered as positive his performance in the 16th edition of the world championship, so he hopes to deserve the confidence of the coach. He also acknowledged that it will be difficult to play with regularity, taking into account the competition, adding that he has been working to conquer his space.

There are a lot of players in my position and whenever I am summoned for the national team I will give my best, as I have done so far, added the 25-year old player.

Divaldo Mbunga played four out of the five games and scored 18 points.
