POLICE in Lusaka have arrested the alleged boyfriend of British High Commission consular, Karen Michelle van Boxtel in connection with the assault of her husband, Carl Fraisera.
Glen Mcgregor, who is believed to be a Zimbabwean farmer of Mazabuka, was arrested together with a Mr Kevin Boxtel of Lusaka and were charged with assault after they beat up Mr Fraisera at Lusaka South Country Club.
Lusaka division police commanding officer Greenwell Ng'uni said that the three had since been released on bond after the police recorded warn and caution statements.
The three will appear in court on Tuesday.
Vanguard Private Investigations managing director James Kasamanda, who was investigating the alleged affair of Ms Boxtel and Mr Mcgregor, confirmed yesterday that the two were detained at Chawama police station.
It is alleged that Ms Boxtel and the two men assaulted Mr Fraisera after he found the alleged boyfriend kissing his wife in the early hours of Saturday at Lusaka South Country Club.

this story is absolute bullshit. karen filed for divorce in august, they are since separated. karl walked into the country club and assaulted her then kicked her in the head. the friend which she was "kissing" tried to help her but carl was relentless and came at her with a chair and bottle. needless to say he had the beating coming.
Kevin van Boxstel had nothing to do with the issue and came to the country club in order to fetch his sister. Its easy to change opinions in zambia if you have money and you know the right people

What alot of untrue reporting! This is such a load of rubbish! One wonders where the reporters get their information from! Is this a newspaper or a gossip magazine? This man is trying to get pity from everyone, because he got beaten after hitting a woman half his size! Pathetic! As we all know very few men except the few savages will watch a woman being beaten! Its a sad realisation that our justice system favours this behaviour! Anyone who knows the van Boxtel family knows that this story is as true as animated childrens programmes! If Ms. van Boxtel wanted a divorce one wonders why she would want to make the process prolonged by breaking the law!
