Kumasi — PLAYERS OF Accra Hearts of Oak would henceforth be heading to the bank beaming with smiles, as their financial status has been greatly enhanced.
This follows news that management has reviewed the salary structure of the club ahead of the coming season which the Phobians have resolved to win at all cost.
Per the new salary structure, sources hinted DAILY GUIDE SPORTS that the monthly salary and winning bonus for matches have been increased to the extent that the players would gladly 'kill' themselves for the team during games.
Though DAILY GUIDE SPORTS could not establish the exact amount being paid the players, a close source said management has already achieved its ambition of motivating the players to win all games in the league.
Hearts would be celebrating their centenary of existence next year and management wants to observe the great and historic occasion with a major laurel, DAILY GUIDE SPORTS gathered.
In order to make this huge ambition a reality, the management of the premier club has thus decided to increase the salaries of the players to make them go for the kill when the league resumes this weekend.
In a related development, Hearts are reported to be thinking about dragging Esperance to Caf and Fifa for betrayal of agreement over the transfer of striker Mahatma Otoo.
The Ghana Under-20 captain was transferred to the Tunisian giants for 500,000 euros but the Sousse-based club now want to pay US$ 150,000 for a four-month loan deal.
Otoo, 18, is expected to return to Hearts of Oak in December.
According to Hearts, Esperance were expected to pay the transfer money seven days after receiving the player's International Transfer Certificate but the Tunisian outfit failed to respect that agreement.
Hearts followed up with two separate letters to remind them of the transfer fee payment schedule.
Reports in the local media claimed, the player was being rejected because of non-performance but the budding striker was on target during Esperance's mid-week solitary 1-0 win over Enfinda Sport.
Otoo was named last season's Ghana Premier League Most Valuable Player.
