Eritrea: Dieda Inhabitants Strive to Maintain Environment Sanitation

Asmara — The inhabitants of Dieda, Logo-Anseba sub-zone, are making unremitting endeavors to maintain environment sanitation so as to combat communicable diseases. They said that they have decided to build latrines in the area following the initiatives taken by the administrative areas of Sosona and Kachero.

The inhabitants also disclosed that over 280 latrines have been constructed in collaboration with the branch office of Ministry of Health in Gash-Barka region.

The head of environmental health in the Ministry of Health, Dr. Tekeste Araya, said that the Government's endeavors to ensure public health is bearing fruitful outcome, and called on other administrative areas to take similar initiatives.
