Africa: Uganda in Continental Push

Kampala — Uganda is pushing for a continental framework that creates mechanisms for strengthening the capacity of agricultural development in Africa.

Dr. Silim Nahdy, the chairman of African Forum for Agricultural Advisory Services, said a continental synergy in agricultural research and extension was key in promoting the networking and sharing of knowledge and skills concerned with agricultural advisory service delivery across nations.

"African countries face similar challenges and constraints that affect agricultural productivity and commercialisation, thus hindering the realisation of increased economic benefits from the activity," he pointed out.
