Uige — The "Maravilhas do Senhor" (Wonders of the Lord) choir, from the Evangelical Reformed Church of Angola (Iera), released Sunday in Uige City their debut album dubbed "Jesus the light that shines for salvation".
Speaking to ANGOP, the provincial coordinator of the choral group, Evaristo Augusto Amândio, said that the album, which has 1,200 copies issued, comprises 12 tracks containing biblical messages.
The songs are sung in the vernaculars Kikongo and Kimbundu, as well as Portuguese. According to the source, the CD that was recorded locally seeks to disseminate the gospel of Christ so that men be liberated from suffering.
