Uganda: Super League Warns Masaka LC

Kampala — Uganda Super League Limited - the company managing the league has given Masaka LC football club an ultimatum of up to Friday to state whether or not they will take part in the competition. Masaka travel to champions Bunamwaya SC at Nakivubo stadium on the day of kick off on September 17.

But the LC team is not in touch with USL Limited as the company prepares to manage their first professional league. Their club chairman Vincent Bamulangaki Ssempijja said yesterday that he is very busy with ruling party National Resistance Movement primary elections in the area.

"We are busy with the elections and I can't tell you anything about the team," Ssempiija said when contacted yesterday.

Kasule wrote in his communication to clubs yesterday that "All teams are prepared except Masaka. We have tried and failed to get any indication that Masaka LC will be participating in our league.

We have therefore given ourselves a deadline of Friday this week to continue engaging."
