After four years struggling to make a mark on the Rwanda music scene, the Just Family, an Afro dancehall music group in Rwanda has become of age.
The family has finally come out with an album, they have preferred to call Turiho (we are around), proving to skeptics who thought they were non starters wrong. The title is to assure both fans and skeptics that the family is into the music career as profession and are determined to succeed through thick and thin.
"People used to think we would not make it (in music industry). But yes we have made it and we can," Kim Kizito says. The skeptics were some how right. Just when they were coming up, the group broke up in 2006.
This is when Bahati decided to give music a break in order to concentrate on academic. At that same time Croidja decided to leave for Tanzania . Jimmy sought temporal asylum in Democratic Republic of Congo. It was only Kim Kizito , who remained on ground but he could not do much.
