Information reaching this paper has it that Dr Tamsir Mbowe was arrested by the National Intelligence Agency (NIA).

Upon receiving the information, this reporter visited Mbowen Clinic at Kanifing to ask for him. However, this reporter was told that Dr Mbowe was not at the Clinic but at home. A source reported that Dr Mbowe was released after his arrest and could be reached at home to confirm that he is not under detention as rumoured.

Efforts to reach Dr Mbowe proved futile as his Gamcel Line always states the following: "This is Dr Mbowe, I am not available at the moment, please leave your message and I will get back to you". This reporter left a message but up to the time of going to press no feedback was received from him.
