Uganda: MP Murder Trial Postponed

Kampala — A murder case against Arua Municipality MP Hussein Akbar Godi has been pushed to the next convenient session over inadequate time to hear his case.

The Presiding Judge, Elizabeth Musoke yesterday made the announced at Mukono High Court. Godi is charged with murdering his wife, Rehema Caesar at Lukojjo village in Mukono on December 4, in 2008.

Rehema was gunned down along Mukono-Kayunga road and her body dumped near Mpoma satellite station. Godi who is on bail was represented by lawyers, Sam Njuba and Duncan Ondimu. He is expected to continue reporting to the Jinja High Court registrar once in a month.
