Angola: 50 Power Transforming Posts Inaugurated in Kilamba Kiaxi

Luanda — At least 20,000 families of Luanda's Kilamba Kiaxi District are benefiting since Saturday from electricity at home, after the inauguration of 50 power transforming stations, by the district administrator, José Correia.

The inauguration is part of the "Sábado Azul e Amarelo" project, being carried out by the Luanda Power Supply Firm (EDEL), that aims at giving solution to power problems in the communities.

The administrator said the work is the materialisation of a huge programme carried out by the Angolan government, through EDEL. He warned that despite the satisfaction by the population, the works will continue, taking into account the expansion of the district.

Kilamba Kiaxi has about two million inhabitants.
