Wladimir Klitschko has declared himself fully ready and raring to go against the Samuel 'Nigerian Nightmare' Peter in their world title bout, taking place in Germany on Saturday. The younger of the Klitschko Brothers - the other being Vitali - is staking his three world heavyweight championshp belts against the Nigerian. The Ukrainian IBF, WBO and IBO champion came face-to-face with the 'Nigerian Nightmare' on Monday in Frankfurt ahead of their fight in the Commerzbank-Arena on September 11.
Peter has plenty of history with the Klitschko family - Wladimir survived three knockdowns when he fought Peter in 2005 in Atlantic City, before earning a unanimous decision and Peter was stopped after the eighth round when he fought Wladimir's brother Vitali three years later in Berlin.
After Peter was presented with a cake on his 30th birthday at the press conference, Klitschko jokingly offered his three title belts as a birthday gift. But the smiles and the laughter will be missing when they climb into the ring Saturday night, with those prized belts at stake in a fight that many fans do not expect to go the full distance.
RECORD SINCE THE FIRST BOUT -Wladimir: 9-0, 7KOs
