Former Vice President Atiku Abubakar has expressed concern that the timing and the schedule are too tight and can be a threat to free and fair and credible elections.
He said voters would not have a good opportunity to know the candidates and their programmes very well and would, therefore, find it very difficult to make informed choices.
He recalled that in the SDP, they had one year to plan for election which is in line with practices elsewhere.
He expressed doubt about the ability of the parties to cope well with the schedule.
