Uganda: Lwakataka Talks Big

Kampala — Former national champion Ponsiano Lwakataka has said the performance of senior drivers in this weekend's Jinja rally could ruin Mutebi's title chances.

Lwakataka argued that Mutebi will have to work hard to beat Godfrey Lubega, Duncan Mubiru Shafiq Semujju, Mohammed Abdulsamad and Susan 'Super Lady' Muwonge to fourth position.

"Ronald Ssebuguzi, Jas Mangat and I, are in the main race where the winner will come from. It will be very difficult for Mutebi to win the national championship," Lwakataka stated.

Meanwhile Michael Baraza, the events manager of the Eastern Motor Club said precaution letters have been supplied to various industries that have trucks which use the route not to allow them to be driven on Sunday.

Baraza said "We have written to Salini and to Madhvani's Kakira Sugar Works (KSW) warning letters to spare one day that's Sunday for the Jinja Rally."
