Uganda: Produce Prices Increase by 48 Percent

Kampala — Kapchorwa farmers are to benefit from a sh12m dairy processing equipment purchased by the district local government under the value-addition component of the National Agricultural Advisory Services.

The equipment includes a pasteurising machine with a capacity of over 4,000 litres of milk per day, a cream separator, two sealing machines and packaging tools for dairy products.

"We are grateful to the district local government. "We will now be able to offer employment opportunities besides the household incomes generated through the sale of our products," said Martin Sokuton, the Kapchorwa Community Development Association chairman, said during the handover of the equipement.
