Kigali — RWANDA Revenue Authority volleyball coach Jean Luc Ndayikengurukiye has no doubt that his team will be a major force to reckon with in the coming seasons.

RRA, who finished behind APR and the National University of Rwanda (NUR) in last year's league, are on course for their first league title after back to back wins over the weekend.

After Saturday's straight sets victory over St. Joseph Kabgayi (3-0), RRA did not look back as they silenced defending champions APR (3-1) the following day to open up a six-point lead at the top of the league table.

With three games to wind up the season, Ndayikengurukiye has attributed the team's fine run to mental strength.

"In the last two seasons, RRA has fallen short not because they are not good players but because they had this inferiority complex against APR. That is what we have tried to get rid of this season," he said.

Ndayikengurukiye, who captained APR and the national volleyball team during his playing career, has continued to prove what a fine coach he is.

Before parting ways with APR late last year, the 34-year-old had led the army side to 11 trophies in two years.
