Slaa, faces charges of having an affair that led to marriage break-up.
In the case filed at the High Court yesterday, Mr Aminiel ChedielMahimbo is suing Dr Slaa for allegedly having sexual relations with his wife, Josephine Mushumbusi. Mr Mahimbo is demanding a total of Sh1 billion, Sh200 million being special damages and Sh800 million in general damages.
Mr Mahimbo claims that he had married Josephine Mushumbusi in September 2002 and that Dr Slaa's adulterouassociation with her has tarnished his reputation.
Through his advocate, Amicus Attorneys, Mr Mahimbo is also asking the court to award him any other relief as it may deem fit and an equitable grant. In the suitwhichwas filled by the
Amicus Attorneys secretary, Mr Tito Emmanuel, Mr Mahimbo alleges that the relationship between the Dr Slaa and his wife has subjected him to humiliation, embarrassment, degradation and ridicule.
Mr Mahimbo also asked the court to grant a perpetual injunction against the defendant,
prohibiting him from involving himself in the adulterous association with his wife. The suit claims that themarriage between the plaintiff and Josephine Mushumbusi has not been dissolved and they were blessed with two children,
Upendo born May 2003 and Precious who was born in March 2007.The plaintiff claims that early 2010 Ms Mushumbusi, who is a businesswoman owning a company called Green World Clinic, started to absent herself from the matrimonial home on the grounds of making several trips in connection with her business.
But he claims that on various dates and occasions, the defendant introduced Ms Mushumbusi as his wife.
