Windhoek — The Okakarara Trade Fair Society has announced that a fund-raising gala dinner that was due on August 27, 2010 is now scheduled for October 13, 2010.

The dinner was postponed due to commitments by individuals and corporate and public institutions.

However, the price of the tickets and the venue remain the same.

The society's management is extending its apologies to those who were affected by the decision.

Meanwhile, the Okakarara Trade Fair Society will host its fourth annual Okakarara Trade Fair from September 08 to 12, 2010. The overall goal of the trade fair is to boost the economic base of Okakarara and surroundings, with particular emphasis on small and medium enterprises and the agricultural sector.

Importantly, the Okakarara Trade Fair Society strives to enhance business opportunities for local entrepreneurs and to assist them with better market opportunities for their products and services.

This will result in the uplifting of the town's economy, which is still at the bottom of the country's economic ladder.
