Angola: Rabies Kill One in Katchiungo

Katchiungo — Forty six people were bitten by alleged mad dogs during the last eight months claiming one life in Katchiungo, 40 miles east of central highland Huambo, the local health service chief told Angop today.

Paulo Kulivela stated that in 2009 the Katchiungo health services reported 32 mad dog bites expressing concern on the rise of the number of people bitten by the beasts

Mr Kulivela said that the hospital has received kits of anti-rabies vaccine and the 45 recent victims have been innocuculated.
