Malanje — At least 4,539 citizens, out of the 6,000 planned to join the voter's registration update in northern Malanje province, have registered under the process taking place in the country since late in July this year, Angop learnt.
This was announced to the press by the co-ordinator of the Electoral Registration Provincial Executive Commission, António Neves Canje, who acknowledged that the voter's registration update is going at an acceptable pace.
He considered as positive the figure for some provinces of the country so far, as in the same period of last year only 4,500 people registered.
António Neves Canje expressed satisfaction at the assistance provided to the process by the ruling party's youth wing, the Air Force and local administrations.
The activity will take place in the localities of Mangando (Marimba) and Talamungongo (Kambundi-Katembo).The process that started in late July this year is being monitored by representatives of the ruling MPLA party and opposition UNITA, PRS and FNLA.
