Angola: Poverty Eradication Programme to Improve Socio-economic Conditions

Kuito — Poverty eradication programme, which is being implemented by the government of the central Bié Province, will contribute to the rapid improvement of social and economic conditions.

This was said to ANGOP by the administrator of Chitembo District, Daniel Mucanda.

The administrator underlined that the implementation of the referred programme will contribute considerably to the acquisition of agricultural tools for the reinforcement of the countryside activities, rehabilitation of some schools, improvement of the power and drinkable water supply networks, betterment of health services in the communities.

Daniel Mucanda added that with the implementation of this programme, positive results are expected for the improvement of living conditions of the population to eradicate poverty.

On his turn, the administrator of Catabola District, Antunes Sapalo, also praised the initiative of the Angolan government, underlining that the execution of the referred programme will contribute to the improvement of the education system, rehabilitation of secondary and tertiary roads to permit the transportation of the products from the countryside to town and vice versa, as well as the recovery of bridges.
