Angola: UNITA Leader Backs Respect of Civil Rights

Andulo — UNITA leader, Isaias Samakuva, Monday voiced for civil and moral respect to to guarantee freedom and rights among angolans, when addressing a rally in Kalussinga commune, central highland Bie province.

At the meeting, the president of the main opposition party stressed the need for mutual respect between the people and the government stating that there is no governance without people and backed the implementation of the government planned actions, in respect of people's rights.

He urged his party members to obey the authorities and respect the rulers for a good harmonization and promotion of peace pledging that Unita will continue to work in partnership with the government for the improvement of people's social and economic standards, by the execution and implementation of recommended actions.

In Bié province, Isaias Samakuva met governor Alvaro Boavida Neto and militants of Unita's youth (Jura) and woman (Lima) wings.
