Kigali — THE local football governing body, Ferwafa, has confirmed that it is doing everything to make sure that summoned professionals for the must win 2012 Africa Nations Cup qualifier against Benin jet in early.

After getting off to a wobbly start in the qualification campaign following Saturday's 3-0 defeat against Ivory Coast, Ferwafa's CEO Jules Kalisa believes that the team needs to regroup early for their next assignment which is slated for October 9 at Amahoro stadium.

Louis Aniweta (Cyprus) and Boubakary Saddou (Oman) who were the only professionals called in for the Ivory Coast tie only had one training session with the rest of the team, which explains their rugged display against the Elephants. Kalisa yesterday told Times Sport that pros that will make Sellas Tetteh's provisional squad will link up with the rest of the squad at least six days before next month's qualifier.

"It is paramount that Tetteh gets a couple of days to assess the pros and find a way of integrating them into the team," the official noted. "We are well aware of Tetteh's attention to detail and thoroughness when it comes to preparation so we want to make sure he gets the best out of the team," Kalisa continued.

Meanwhile, Tetteh has refused to blame Saturday's defeat on his failure to field more professionals in the team. "My technical team suggested only two professionals (Saddou and Aniweta) and I fully trust and respect their opinion."

"We did not lose because Katauti, Karekezi, Mafisango and Bobo Bola were not playing. Ivory Coast was technically more superior, which is one area we intend to work on before playing Benin," he added.

Following a 1-all draw between Benin and Burundi, Rwanda languish at the bottom of Group H. Ivory Coast tops the group with three points while Benin and Burundi are joint second with one point.
