Nigeria: EFCC, Corruption and 2011

Kaduna — For many years now the issue of corruption has become a recurring denominator in all permutations in Nigeria. Recently, an international organization opined that in all aspects and businesses in Nigeria, you have to factor in how much you have to pay to grease officials' palms.

The most worrying aspect was, and still is, that people saddled with the responsibility of fighting the menace get entangled in the web of politics which has resulted in just dramatizing the fight. Take for example during the reign of Malam Nuhu Ribadu, instead of fighting the war, he was busy fighting the then President Obasanjo's perceived enemies thereby losing his eyes on the ball, literally.
