Nigeria: Orji Lauds Jonathan for Appointing New COAs

Umuahia — The appointment of Major General Onyeabo Azubuike Ihejirika as the new Chief of Army Staff (COAS) has elicited happy feelings in Abia with the Governor, Theodore Orji expressing gratitude on behalf of the entire state to President Goodluck Jonathan for the historic appointment.

Addressing newsmen yesterday in Umuahia, the Commissioner for Information and Strategy, Chief Anthony Agbazuere, who spoke on behalf of the governor, said the appointment of an indigene of Abia State as COAS came barely two weeks after the president visited the state to lead it to the mainstream of the nation's political life with Governor Orji rejoining the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP.
