Penultimate week, Osogbo, the capital of Osun State witnessed a significant political development, when the deputy governor of the state, Erelu Olusola Obada declared her intention to contest the senatorial election in Osun East come January 15, 2011, in accordance with the election timetable released on Tuesday by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC).
