Dar Es Salaam — EgyptAir was the first African airline to land on Tanzanian soil after Mwalimu Julius Nyerere declared independence in the 1960s.
Since then the airline continued its operations with one weekly flight until 2004, says the airline's country manager, Mr Wael Eldemerdash "In 2004 the airline had two choices, either to increase flights to four on weekly basis or to temporary stop operationas due to the small fleet size at that time," he says.
