Maputo — The Mozambican government on Tuesday signed a concession contract in Maputo with the South African petro-chemical company Sasol, granting Sasol the right to explore for and produce oil and gas in parts of the Mozambique Basin, in the southern province of Inhambane.
The contract was signed by the Minister of Mineral Resources, Esperanca Bias, the managing director of Sasol Petroleum International, Ebbie Haan, and the chairperson of Mozambique's National Hydrocarbon Company (ENH), Nelson Ocuane.
