Nairobi — Political intolerance is growing by the day and this has caused prominent Ghanaians to call the main players in the country's politics to order.
Apart from minor clashes among rival political groupings, recent riots at Atiwa and Akwatia, both in the eastern region as well as Cheriponi in the northern region following Parliamentary by-elections has forced the Commissioner of the Commission on Human Rights and Administrative (CHRAJ), Mr Justice Emile Short, to say such violence poses a threat to the country's growing democracy.
Political analysts agree and say if events following the Atiwa riots is anything to go by, then, as the country prepares for elections in 2012, so much work needs to be done to avoid political violence.
The two leading political parties, the ruling National Democratic Congress (NDC) and the main opposition, New Patriotic Party (NPP) have accused each other of master-minding the riots that erupted during and after the elections.
The Ghana News Agency (GNA) reported on the day of the by-elections on August 31 that, two journalists; Mr Edward Gawuga, the Eastern Regional correspondent of Accra-based FM station, Radio Gold, and Mr Takyi Boateng, cameraman of Graphic Communication Group, were allegedly beaten by some supporters of the NPP.
NDC's representative Anthony Gyampoh, accused the General Secretary of the NPP, Mr Owusu Afriyie of urging the youth of the area to use "whatever means at their disposal to prevent people who are not from the area from entering the community during the election."
Mr Gyampoh said, it was in line with this that NPP activists in the constituency mounted road blocks in towns.

The critics of the Honorable Kwame Nkrumah have been seduced by the power, wealth and glory of the white Western world. Africa, to prosper, must break free of the capitalistic Western economic model. This, Nkrumah attempted to do, but his own brothers betrayed him and Africa. He was sent off into exile and died in Romania. What an end to such a hero.
What is Africa today? Despite the smooth words of African black leaders who have been seduced by the West and the East, Africa resembles a garage sale. African leaders are willing to sell the natural resources for paper that is essentially worthless. Please take the time to read about the continued rape of our continent that is being conducted with the approval and blessing of our black political leaders with white-washed brains.

Yes, 37% of of Ghana's farmland is now under the control of foreigners intent on forcing our people to become dependent on the West. The truth be told, the West is currently dependent upon Africa. But, due to the ignorance, greed, corruption and cowardice of our black African leadership, Africa and it's people are moving closer and closer to being beggers in their own land.
My brothers, please remember what happened to the native Americans who befriended the whites who came to colonize their land. Eventually, they took over the entire continent. What happened to the native people? They were either exterminated or put on reservations where they have spiraled down into a pit of hopelessness and drug addiction.
My brothers, please remember what happened to your sons and daughters who were sold into slavery by that same white Western man. Now, over 100 million of us live in exile and are not permitted to come back home. Why? Because our black African leadership is controlled by the white West, who fears the combination of native Africans and Africans from the Diaspora ever uniting and turning Africa completely around.
The future of Mother Africa is bleak unless my people awaken from slumber and flex it's mighty muscles. Do not allow the white West and yellow East to maintain this stranglehold on Africa - it will eventually destroy it's people.
May Almighty God strip the veil that has been cast over the eyes of my people, and allow them to see what is happening to them right now and what this means for their future and the future of their children. Praise God and pray for His Kingdom to come so His Will might be done on earth as it is in heaven.
