Nigeria: Suswam Tasks Campaign Organisation, Demands Victory

Makurdi — GOVERNOr Gabriel Suswam of Benue state has charged members of his 2011 campaign organization to ensure that Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) wins all the elections.

The governor who inaugurated the campaign organization at the Government House last Wednesday, said the team would be working together with the Goodluck Jonathan campaign organization that would soon be set up.

He urged PDP members seeking for elective offices not to have the impression that they would be absorbed by other parties if primaries do not favour them, insisting that only PDP exists in Benue.

He told the campaign team headed by Dr. Terhemba Shija to immediately commence the sensitization of the people on the need for them to register, pointing out that only those who register can vote in 2011.

Suswam warned against the imposition of candidates and called on leaders of the party at various levels to respect majority opinion.
