Angola: Over 200 Voters Registered in Caculama

Caculama — At least 236 voters were registered from July to September this year, in Caculama (55 kilometres east off Malange city), by the executive committee for the municipal electoral process, as part of the updating of the voter registration closed on Thursday.

According to the coordinator of the executive committee for the electoral process in Caculama, José Armindo, the number of registered voters has exceeded expectations since it was expected to register 150 people.

The source made it clear that traditional and religious authorities had a positive participation in the mobilization of youth for adherence to process, hence the reason for the success in Caculama.

During the process of updating of the electoral registration in the municipality of Caculama, the executive committee worked with a mobile brigade composed of 4 people who operated in the municipal headquarters and in the communes of Muquixe and Caxinga.
