Nigeria: Bomb Scare - False Alarm - Police, NNPC

Abuja — Following a bomb scare which created pandemonium at the Federal Secretariat and office of the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation (NNPC) yesterday, the police and management of the corporation have assured that there was no cause for alarm.

Civil servants at the Federal Secretariat, Abuja, yesterday, deserted their offices following threats of impending bomb attack at the secretariat located close to the Eagle Square and Bayelsa House, scene of October 1, 2010 bomb attacks in the nation's capital city.
