Nigeria: ICPC Probes Akwa Poly Over Funds

Uyo — The Independent Corrupt Practices and related offences Commission (ICPC) is set to launch full scale investigations into a petition against the management of the Akwa Ibom State Polytechnic, Ikot Osurua located at Ikot Ekpene Local Government area of the state over alleged misappropriation of the intuition's fund running into millions of naira.

The Federal Government's anti-graftagency had last week summoned the management including the Chairman of the Governing Council of the institution to Abuja for self identification, following the petition filed by the Academic Staff Union of Polytechnics (ASUP) over financial crises rocking the state polytechnic.
